The 3rd Annual Duke Intensive Care Family Advisory Board BBQ for Babies was October 1st. This year I served as co-chair for the event and couldn't be more pleased with how the day went. We had beautiful weather, a great turn out, and raised almost $7,000 for the Family Advisory Board. Funds raised provide welcome bags for the families, a weekly meal, meal passes/parking passes, and other special projects such as a tv for the waiting room. This year was especially fun because Emma Claire was old enough to enjoy the activities and we shared the day with friends & their children we've grown to know through the board. Uncle Ryan & Aunt Katie came out to help as well.
